About this cottage

Tucked behind a quiet Snettisham street, Quince Cottage is a one-bedroom retreat with real character. Rustic brick walls, original wood floors, a wood-burning stove in the sitting room. Recently refurbished with a focus on sustainability — new insulation, eco paint throughout.

The village is on your doorstep: the Old Store cafe for breakfast, the Rose & Crown for dinner. The RSPB Snettisham reserve — one of the best wader spectacles in the country — is a ten-minute walk across the marsh.

Living room

Wood-burning stove, comfortable sofa, 32" TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime. The sofa converts to a single bed for a third guest — let us know in advance and we'll have it made up.

Bedroom

King-size bed, side tables, good storage. Upstairs bathroom with shower, toilet, sink. Hair dryer and shaver socket included.

Kitchen

Fully equipped: oven, hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, cafetière. Wine glasses, baking sheet, the lot.

Outside

Small front garden with table and two chairs. Off-road parking for one car (small to medium — the entrance is narrow). Free on-street parking also available.

Good to know

The stairs are a typical Norfolk Winder — steep and narrow with a tight turn at the base. There's a handrail on one side. Not recommended for anyone with mobility issues.

No children under 12. The stairs are not suitable for young children or parents with infants.

One pet only. Pets are not allowed on the beds or furniture, and must not be left alone in the cottage. No dangerous breeds.

The driveway entrance is narrow — a small or medium-sized car is recommended. Free on-street parking nearby.

If you're planning to use the sofa bed, let us know before arrival so we can have bedding ready.
